Announcing the first show for the Maplewood Barn 2021 Missouri Bicentennial Season: Fifth of July, by Lanford Wilson.
Set in Lebanon, Missouri, during summer of 1977, Ken Talley, a veteran and double-amputee, lives with his partner, Jed, and ponders resuming teaching at the local high school, while family and old college friends are visiting for the 4th of July holiday. Fifth of July is a play about disillusionment, secrets, and what happens when we act without knowing all the facts.
Shows dates are June 3-6 and June 10-13. The box office opens at 7pm and the show starts at 8! Pack a picnic, grab your favorite lawn chair or blanket, and join us for some theatre under the stars!
